Public Relations AB/Journalism and Mass Communication MA(Public Relations)(non-thesis)

Graduates of this program will be prepared to assume jobs in advertising, public relations, marketing positions, and public affairs.

Admission to Program

Students will apply to the pathway during their first or second semester enrolling in major courses. They will need two to three semesters left in their plan of study. Students will need a 3.0 GPA and will fill out a supplemental application and write a two-page statement of purpose. Applications are due on the withdrawal deadline of every fall and spring semester.

• Unofficial copies of all transcripts, including any transcripts from institutions previously attended before transferring to UGA or as a dual enrollment student

• Statement of purpose; students may build off of the statement that was submitted for admission to the Double Dawgs program.
