^ Foreign language requirement: One foreign language through the 4th level OR one language through the 3rd level AND a second language through the 2nd level is required for the major – this will also fulfill the graduate research skills requirement IF it is appropriate to student’s area of research.

- Total Hours Over 5-Year Academic Period: 120 hours for A.B.+ 1 hour physical education requirement and 30 hours+ M.A. program

Students accepted to the AB/MA History pathway are expected to have some AP credit or accepted transfer credits to lessen the total credit load taken at UGA. Students are assumed to have six or more hours of applicable AP or transfer undergraduate credits to enable them to graduate in a timely manner while managing an acceptable amount of coursework. The program of study is expected to change depending on total accepted AP (Advance Placement) or transfer courses accepted into the student programs of study.

Students are expected to fulfill all major requirements as listed in the University of Georgia bulletin. Franklin College requirements should be taken into consideration when selecting courses options.
