Interdisciplinary Studies AB/Historic Preservation MHP

The MHP program qualifies students for jobs in the cultural resource management field, as well as preservation planning and nonprofit preservation work. This program allows students to meet the Secretary of the Interior qualifications for the position of Architectural Historian.

Admission to Program

Students apply for the pathway in year three during the fall semester. Students interested in this pathway submit their unofficial transcript and an email stating their intent to join the pathway. Applications are normally due by the end of fall semester, though in special circumstances they can apply later. Students must have a 3.0 overall GPA to be eligible for the program. Admission to Graduate Program

In year four, students will formally apply to the Graduate School. Applications include a short statement of purpose, two letters of recommendation (three are preferred), a resume or CV, and, if desired, a portfolio. No GRE is required.
