Interdisciplinary Studies BFA/Journalism and Mass Communication MA(Advertising)(Non-Thesis)

Career opportunities include working within the advertising industries. Students can expect a deeper understanding of Advertising principles, planning, research, and management from this graduate program.

Admission to Program

Students apply for the pathway in year three during the spring semester. Students interested in this pathway complete the External Grady Double Dawgs application. Applications are due on the spring semester withdrawal deadline. Students must have a 3.0 overall GPA to be eligible for the program. A statement of purpose and an online application is required. Curriculum

Graduate-level courses that may be used to satisfy undergraduate and graduate program requirements.

JRMC 7960, JRMC 8151, JRMC 8110 and one other JRMC special topics course. Other courses can be used with approval from Grady’s Double Dawgs advisor.

Admission to Graduate Program

In year four, students will formally apply to the Graduate School and also submit supplemental application materials to the Grady Graduate Office. Applications include a form indicating their Journalism M.A. concentration and a short statement of purpose. Students are also required to provide contact information for three letters of recommendation and a resume or CV. No GRE is required for Grady graduate applications.
