Environmental Resource Science BSES/Plant Protection Pest Management MPPPM(non-thesis)

Upon completion of the undergraduate and graduate programs of study, students will be trained for employment as IPM professionals in the pest control industry, pesticide and fertilizer services, cooperative extension and regulatory agencies. There are careers in the private industry such as pesticide, seed, food and beverage. Academic institutions in addition, as a college instructor or a lab or field technician. Serving as Crop Consultant one can be independent or employed by companies. Urban/structural pest control is continuous in being innovative and impacting insect control in our world today while adhering to public safety.

Admission to Program

After a student has 60-90 hours in the ERS program, they will be able to apply to the dual degree (ERS/MPPPM) program. After a student is admitted to the dual degree pathway, he/she will need to apply to the MPPPM program during year 4.

Admission to Graduate Program

Students will apply to the MPPPM program in their 4th year after 60-90 hours in the ERS program. A GRE score of 289 or better is required, as well as completion of the following courses with a grade of 3.0 or higher: CRSS 3060, 3060L; CHEM 1211, 1211L, 1212, 1212L; BIOL 1107, 1107L, 1108, 1108L.
