Notes:

*Courses with an asterisk are graduate courses used to satisfy undergraduate and graduate degree program requirements. For the BS/MS in Microbiology (for both the thesis and non-thesis options), BIOS 7010 satisfies the computer science/math/science elective; MIBO 6090, MIBO 6450-6450L, and MIBO 6300 replace MIBO 4090, MIBO 4450-4450L; and MIBO 4300, respectively. Only 6 hours of MIBO 7000 can be applied to the program of study. This is a sample schedule for a student who comes to UGA with no outside credit (AP, IB, Dual Enrollment, etc.), and has not exempted any requirements (Foreign Language, Math, etc.). It is not a guarantee of class availability, and it is subject to change. Students are expected to satisfy all Regents, University, Franklin College, and Major Requirements in order to graduate. This is only meant as a general guide, and you should consult with your academic advisor about your personal graduation plan. Major Required II - Select two courses from the following: CBIO 4100 or EHSC 4310 or MARS 4620 or MIBO 4220 or 4220S or 4300 or 4680 or 4700 or POPH 4450 or 4650 or 4651 Major Required III - Select one course from the following: Any 3000/4000- level course in BCMB, BIOL, CBIO, ECOL, GENE, or MIBO. (Note that research sections may only be used to satisfy ONE area of the major regardless of how many sections are taken.) Additional options include: CRSS 4610-4610L or ENTO 3140-3140L or ENTO 3650-3650L or ENTO 4000-4000L or FDST 4030-4030L or FDST 4120-4120L or FDST 4320-4320L or MARS 3450 or MARS 4380-4380L or MARS 4620-4620L or MARS 4810 or PMCY 3000 or PSYC 4120 or PSYC 4130 or VPHY 3100 ***Franklin College (“FC”) Requirements & University Requirements*** For a full list of FC requirements, see: http://www.franklin.uga.edu/oaa/franklin-college-degree-requirements For a full list of University requirements, see: http://www.bulletin.uga.edu/Bulletin_Files/uga_req.html Check with your advisor to see how best to satisfy these as you work towards completing your degree.
