Entertainment and Media Studies AB/Journalism and Mass Communication MA(Integrated ADPR)

Graduates of this program will be prepared to assume jobs in advertising, public relations, marketing positions, and public affairs.

Admission to Program

Students will apply for the program in year three. At that time students will apply to the Graduate School and also submit supplemental application materials to the Grady Graduate Office which include a form indicating their desired M.A. concentration and a short statement of purpose. Students accepted into the program will be formally admitted to the Graduate School after completion of the undergraduate degree in spring of year 4.


In order to qualify for the program, students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, meet minimum GRE scores (153 verbal, 144 quantitative), and have three positive recommendation letters from Grady professors.

Curriculum

Graduate-level courses that may be used to satisfy undergraduate and graduate program requirements.

JRMC 7940, JRMC 8100 and JRMC 8120.

Additional requirements that are unique to this Double Dawgs program:

Eight additional courses are required to complete the graduate degree portion of this dual degree program: ADPR 7760, ADPR 7950, ADPR 7750 or JRMC 7250, JRMC 7960, JRMC 8110, JRMC 8130, JRMC 8160, and one JRMC elective.

Students accepted into the program will be formally admitted to the Graduate School after completion of the undergraduate degree in spring of year 4.
